Child Safety Standards

WritOn is committed to providing an uncompromisingly safe, respectful, and lawful creative environment. We enforce strict zero-tolerance policies against child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSAE) across our entire platform.

1. Absolute Prohibition of CSAM and CSAE

Under no circumstances does WritOn permit, host, distribute, or facilitate:

• Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (CSAE) in any format (visual images, depictions, or descriptive text).
• Predatory behavior, grooming, solicitation, harassment, or coercion targeting minors.
• Content promoting, glorifying, or encouraging sexual interaction with or sexualization of children.

2. Action Upon Actual Knowledge & Law Enforcement Reporting

In adherence to applicable legal frameworks (including United States federal law 18 U.S.C. § 2258A and international equivalents):

• Immediate Takedown: When WritOn obtains actual knowledge of CSAM or CSAE on our services, we immediately disable public access to the content and quarantine the relevant accounts and data artifacts.
• Mandatory Reporting to NCMEC: WritOn reports confirmed CSAM/CSAE incidents and associated technical identifiers directly to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperates fully with national and international law enforcement agencies.
• Evidence Preservation: In accordance with statutory directives, evidentiary records, connection logs, and account metadata are quarantined and securely preserved for law enforcement handoff rather than routinely deleted.

3. Account Enforcement & Permanent Ban

Any account determined to have created, posted, attempted to upload, or solicited child sexual exploitation material is subject to:

• Immediate, permanent account revocation and deletion of public listings.
• Hardware and credential bans preventing re-registration.
• Referral to competent statutory authorities where legally mandated.

4. How to Report Violations

We provide multiple immediate escalation channels for readers and community members to report suspected child exploitation material:

A. Direct In-App Reporting (Fastest)

1. On any story screen, tap the three vertical dots (⋮) in the top-right toolbar (or next to any comment).
2. Select "Report Content".
3. Choose "Child Safety / Severe Harm" or provide additional details.
4. Tap "Submit Report". This immediately flags the item for priority moderation triage.
