Adventure Of The Sacred Blades

This is the story of that time when I was not introduced to the vast world of the aliens. On those days we watched movies on aliens. We thought they were completely different from us, and we probably can never meet them. I was interested to know them closely. And someday a super-natural power fulfilled my wish.
One day I was going to school. To save time I went through the way of the jungle. On the way there was an abandoned house. But this day a green light was flashing out of the broken window-panes. Curiously I entered the house. As I entered through the broken door I discovered someone talking something gibberish. I moved closer to have a better look at her. When I was almost near her she said, “you are a human? Aren’t you?”
Her voice was sticking in her throat, maybe due to fear. Somehow my instinct forced me to ask “are you an alien?”
“That means you have six arms, ten heads…” and she started to tell the fantasies we heard about each other. The curiosity of knowing each other would never have grasped our minds until a bit of sunlight lit up both of us like spotlights.
“You almost look like us.” She said.
“You look like us too, except those yellow, big eyes and the oval head” I exclaimed.
“So the fantasies are not true? Oh! What a relief.”
“How can I believe now that you are an alien?”
“Have you ever seen this?” saying this the alien showed me a stone. It was a green stone. Some lights were coming out of the thing. But it was completely natural! No doubt it was an unearthly thing.
“From which planet have you come?”
“From planet Xarton.”
“But why we did not know about you?”
“That is all because of these badges. According to Universal Crime Department earth is still an under-developed planet. So they have no right to know about the extra-terrestrial life forms.”
“Then why did you come here?”
“To complete the project of my school. The project asked us to make a survey of any under-developed planet. My project was almost complete and I was about to leave from this planet. But then due to engine failure my space-car crashed and my badge broke. Now you can see me, hear me…”
“And you can see me too. Was it possible ever before? If your badge had not broken, then you had never known the humans. Now you know me and I know you…”
My eyes fell on the workbook showing her name – ‘Xara’.
“Nice to meet you too Eric.”
She held a textbook fallen from my bag. And then just something happened and we were just paused looking at each other’s eye.
“Let the time pass away….”
When we just got out of our ‘sleep’ we discovered ourselves too close to each other. We both were feeling uncomfortable for the absence of mind. However, she balanced the situation by saying “will you please help me to fix this car again?”
The lights through the windows said that it was just noon. I said her, “It’s a great chance for you to see my world. Don’t you want to…?”
She replied affirmative. Later when we started off through the jungle she said, “but when the car will be fixed?”
“Can I ask you something? Will you mind to stay in my house today? I will help you to reach home in time?”
“Really!” She exclaimed as if she wanted to spend more time with me. “Yes I will go,” she replied.
On the way I bought her chocolate ice-cream. She liked it too much.
“Very much tasty. Can I have one more please?” She asked.
After having fun in the amusement park near my school we returned to the house.
When I reached home I somehow managed to get Xara to my room. My mother saw me and said, “do you know that I went to school today...?” and her lecture started. Xara was seeing this hiding behind the door. She was laughing at me.
When the lecture was over my mother wanted to see my room which I had promised to clean that morning but it was still not. As I had the keys she could not snoop in. So now I was in great trouble. I had no other choice. I informed my mother about Xara and introduced them to each other. At first mother thought that I was joking but later she believed when Xara showed the space-car, the badge (which was now fixed by me) and etc. unearthly things.
When all this was over it was 8 o’clock. Mother asked help from Xara to cook the meal. She agreed. As the two women were busy I went to work on the space-car. The special glasses given by Xara helped me to read out the manual written in Xartonian language.
After an hour when I entered the room I discovered that all the cooking work was done and the two women were having a gossip.
“I am hungry”, saying this I interrupted their conversation.
“Ok then, let’s finish our dinner then. But are you done with the car?” asked Xara.
“Not yet. But I have found out the error and pathetically it’s the fuel tank which has leaked. So if I fix the tank, then too you can’t…”
“I always keep an extra can of fuel in the ship.” Said Xara.
“See, learn something from her. You never take any spare pencil in your exams.” Said my mom.
However, after dinner mom prepared bed for both of us. But we were not sleepy yet. I said I wanted to fix the car that night. Really I wanted to enjoy the moon-lit-night with Xara. Somehow Xara also said that she wants to help me to fix the car, though her intension was as same as mine.
So when we were left alone in the backyard, I started to fix the fuel tank. The damaged part or thrown away parts of my bicycle helped me to fix the tank. It took less than an hour to finish the work. We discovered that mom had already slept. Xara said, “will you accompany me to the roof.”
“I have a better idea. Let’s take your space car to the Taj Mahal and enjoy the moon there.”
“What is Taj Mahal?”
“The other name of beauty, in the nights of full moon. Now come on. Let’s go.”
So seating in the driver’s seat, with the help of the manual, I drove the car to the Taj. The beauty of the Taj made her very much amused.
When we landed I told the story behind the Taj.
“It was created by Sahajahan, the Mughal emperor, who ruled India during the period of 15th century. He built this Taj over the grave of her favourite wife Mumtaj, as a sign of love.”
“So this is a sign of true love?”
“I read such in the books. Did you like the Taj?”
“I loved it.”
Her excitement was clearly bouncing off her face and words. She was now as cherish as the Taj-Mahal in the moon-light.
When we were returning she said, “thank you for bringing me here.”
I parked the car in my backyard. Then I showed Xara her room. When I started off towards my room she said, “will you come here, please.”
I was a bit frightened by her voice.
“What do you want to say?”
“I am afraid of darkness.”
“This is unbelievable! An alien living in the dark space, travelling through the dark space is afraid of darkness, ha ha…” and I started to laugh.
“Don’t laugh. You don’t know that in our planet sky stays always green. That’s why I have never seen such darkness in the sky. That’s why I was a bit frightened. Can you please sleep aside me tonight?”
“I…. Why?”
“Pleeeeease…”
She convinced me in such a manner that I could not deny.
When I led beside her she said, “It feels at home here.”
Then she spoke on for minutes and hours but my ears could bear to hear only that much.
In the next morning when I woke up I found she was still sleeping. And moreover she was mumbling in her sleep.
Her face had a beautiful glow. Her face always carried a smile. And that made me happy.
When I was just seeing her face she opened her eyes and said, “the sky is not green? Why?”
“Because you are in the planet Earth.”
“Oh! I almost forgot. The day is so glorious. What will we do today?”
“Xara, if you don’t mind I will ask you to stay here today.”
“O! So you want to spend time with me? Isn’t so?”
“No, no, that’s not the matter. After all, how many people get the chance to meet an alien?”
“That’s true. So do you want to go with me?”
“Where?”
“To my home.”
“What? Will you take me there? How will people react when they will know that I am an alien?”
“You will get the answers only if you accompany me to my planet.”
“But what about the tour I planned for today?”
“Ok, I will go tomorrow. Do you know that our planet and your planet both take the same time to call it a day?”
“Did you calculated it?”
“Yes for my project work.”
Then a sound came from the kitchen, “is Xara up? Then you two keep your chat paused. The breakfast is ready.”
After washing face and teeth Xara rushed downstairs to see what was served.
Seeing the unknown yellow thing with a white spongy thing she asked, “what are these”
“That yellow thing is an omelette and those sponge like things are bread. Those are edible, don’t worry.” Said my mother as I was busy with those foods.
After having our breakfast over Xara entered the room where I had kept all my innovations. She was very much amused by the domino alarm system.
“How nice! As soon as I opened the door these little blocks fell and started a chain. At the end the recorder played and greeted welcome! How interesting.”
This was my chance. I said, “OH! So sad. Such a beautiful thing is not in the books and the schools of the advanced planet?”
She replied, “are you insulting me or my planet? If you are intentionally doing this, then my request is– please don’t do that. Because this peaceful lady is angry when anyone says anything bad about my planet.”
She was a bit tempered by the comment. But somehow after a few minutes her temperament was gone as her father called her.
“Hello dad, how are you?”
“I am fine, dad. How are you?”
“Me too fine.”
“So, are you safe and away from humans?”
“No, I am with one of them and moreover he is nice and helpful. My protective badge broke and…”
“What! I said you to be away from them. They might try to kill you; they only know to fight among each other…”
“Dad please listen, when you came to this planet second world war was going on. That’s why they thought you a spy and tried to kill you. But this world has changed a lot. That time you had not seen the beautiful earth. Now I have seen it, felt it, and I now love it. Moreover, I have a new friend here. He is…”
“If you think that earth has changed then write about it in your project and ask the boy to come for some official works in UDA. He must be asked to launch a re-survey form for Earth. Take care, sweetheart, bye.”
And the phone was put down.
“At least he is not angry with you.” She said looking at me, “there, there is not much time left. Have you listened to our conversation? Then we must hurry now to our planet. Pack up. Someone needs to launch an application to re survey earth and so you need to go.”
“Why me?”
“Because destiny has chosen you, and I am the lucky seeker.”
When I asked mother’s concern mother at first denied but later she said, “Xara, please take a good care of my illiterate son.”
At first I was a bit angry for this comment. Later I realized that for the advanced aliens I was an illiterate from an Under-graded planet. But however, I was able to use this chance to show that Earth is better than many advanced planets not by technology, by heart of course.

“Oh! It’s terrific jam here. We won’t make it in time.” Said Xara, who was very much tensed about the deadline of submission of project 1. This project was for individuals. Now the group project is pending for which she needs help. And so I am invited. All thanks to UDA who approved me an intergalactic special passport which can be used for five years. That means I can go to any planet within these five years.
By the way the new passport issued to me acts as a both way translator. It helps me to speak in my mother-tongue without any hesitation.
However, it took us an hour to cover a billion light year distance through the Intergalactic route 77.
The white, blue colourful stars passed by us. But it was not like that beautiful space I imagined. It was too congested. Stalls and hoardings were blocking the beautiful sights.
“Oh, there is my child, and you must be Eric.” Said Xara’s dad.
“Yes, sir. Thank you for inviting me here to represent Earth. Hope I will do my best to represent this planet.”
“But son you cannot appeal until you or any human have any contributions to this galaxy.”
“I got it sir.”
Suddenly someone shot a bullet toward Mr. X.
I chased that alien. But could not catch him. When I came back, Mr. X was very much stable and then he said, “now you can contribute for this universe. I am behind a gang who are stealing artefacts from different planet. And by my investigations I found that their next target is going to be the sacred blades of planet Sapphire.”
“Can I do this?” I asked.
“Yes, you can. As I saw you are fearless, interested for gaining knowledge, and moreover you have a very good observation power.”
“But never like Sherlock Holms.”
“Who is this Sherlock Holms?”
“A famous detective character, who could tell the height of a criminal by just seeing the scratch marks made by him in the walls. He is the ‘god’ of all detectives.”
“Wow!”
The conversation seized there as Mr. X went to rest.
Then entered Xara’s sister, Zee. As soon as she heard about the matters going on, she too wanted to join us. She thought that her gadgets will be useful for this mission.
“I will go with him” said Xara.
“Me too” said the character who just entered the room. Zee, Xara’s sister Zee was also enthusiastic to accompany us.
Mr. X could not stop them from accompanying me.

“The radar says that we are just a light year away from Sapphia.” Said Zee.
“But the problem is, they are not giving us permission to land.” Said Xara.
“So what now?”
“We just need to rotate round the planet until we get allowance to land.”
After an hour we realised that somehow the radio transmissions were blocked. And according to the command of ‘captain’ Xara, ship landed in the nearest launch pad to the Sapphire temple.
Following the map, we reached the sapphire temple located at the centre of the jungle. It seemed to be abandoned for years.
“…It has four entrances. All of them finally meet into a hall where the sacred blades are kept. But the way is full of traps and puzzles.” Said the audio book.
“As my instinct suggest, we should take the western gate.”
“Ok let’s go then.”
…
“Strange! They have kept only two flash lights in the entrance and inside there is no light.” Said Xara. “Maybe we should use one of them.”
Saying this she pulled out one of the torches. The gate behind us closed.
Zee was checking her special vision googles. She said “these are not working.”
“I think it’s not your fault nor your gadget’s. That is a holographic endless way, which can never be seen through those googles.” I suggested.
“Maybe you are right.”
Meanwhile Xara was examining the wall. She said “come here, have a look. There are some pictures drawn, but I don’t understand the meanings, nor the googles are suppling those.”
“There is nothing named hieroglyphics in the database of those googles. It’s an extinct language all over the universe. These are like picture messages with symbolic approach. A year ago I have studied some of them. So I can tell what is written there, but cannot find the meaning.” Said Zee.
“Then tell what is written,” asked Xara.
Zee examined the pictures carefully and said it was written that “Keep those eyes open.”
Xara said, “are they warning us about the traps?”
I said,” I don’t think so.”
Zee said, “Then what is the meaning?”
After thinking a lot but finding no remedy I looked up. There were two round pots, just looking like eyes.
Seeing those I somehow yelled, “eureka, I found it. Everyone look up and meet those eyes.”
“But how we can open those eyes?” asked Xara.
“It’s too simple, we need to light those candles fitted in those eyes.
Accordingly, we did the task and the endless road in front disappeared. And we reached, better I should say we were teleported to a new room where there were many doors.
One spirit aroused in front of us and said “You will find the correct door if you listen to me carefully. Are you ready?”
“Yes”
“Ok then. The real door will open with a password. The password is hidden in the words I am going to say—
There were four candles in the room of mind,
Among them got three blind,
One remained lingering yet,
What is that, can you get?
You have only a minute to spend to answer this, otherwise I have no choice but to throw out of the temple. And you have only two chances to throw the correct answer.”
I asked nobody to say it aloud until everyone approves it. Thirty seconds passed, after that Xara said, “Power.”
“Unfortunately your answer is wrong, and you have your final chance, answer within twenty seconds.”
At the very last moment something struck my thoughts and I yelled, “Hope.”
With a stunning sound the door opened.
“Proceed” said the spirit and disappeared.
While we were going on Xara said in an angry manner, “why we need to enter through these challenges, while the enemies are going through any easier way, I guess.”
“Sis always wants a shortcut.” Said Zee. And the two sisters started to quarrel. Their fight was interrupted by the second spirit.
“So what will you ask?” asked Xara in a disgusted manner.
“You can’t go to the main room until you pass through this holy waterfall.” Said the spirit.
At first I went safely through the ‘Stream of Purity.”
Then Xara and Zee passed through the ‘Stream’.
Finally, when we reached the main room it seemed that we were too late. But they were too busy with the blade that they could not notice us. The blue, blade filled the whole room with an unearthly glow.
Xara said, “we must stop them.”
“But dad did never ask us to do so.”
“There is no other way to stop these…”
Suddenly Xara and Zee both were spellbound to see someone who left them years ago.
“It’s our brother! I knew that he died in an accident.” said Zee.
“It will indeed shock our dad. So we must finish this here.” Said Xara.
“Without any weapons! That’s a good idea to get us killed.” I said.
But Xara did not listen to me. She rushed towards them.
I somehow stopped Zee from doing the same foolish deed.
“But I can’t watch my sis to go against that gang alone.”
Luckily all the advanced gadgets did not work in the temple, so the gang could not shoot Xara with their laser guns.
“You did not know that sis knows to fight like a pro.” Zee said as I was stunned to see that she just threw away an enemy on the way.
But it was too hard for the ‘pro’ to fight with the team. Soon she was captured.
“Oh! Who has come, my sis. From when dad handed over the business to you? However, it’s nice to meet you again. So are you going to knock me down or will call UDA? Oh! I almost forgot, phone does not work here. So what will you do now? ...” Said their brother.
“Better to die than accepting your offer. You betrayed our father, how could you ask me to do the same?” Said Xara.
“Then I have no option sis. I need to test the strength of these blades on you.”
This made me angry. I had no training to fight, but I ran like a ferocious bull. And before he could strike her I punched him down. The blade just tossed up in the air and everyone in the gang surrounded us. We fought bravely but could not win against that big gang. We were soon knocked down.
When I got my sense back I found myself tied to a pillar of that hall. They went away with the blades. I found Xara and Zee tied to similar pillars.
When Xara got her sense back she said, “oh no! They escaped. Now how can we find them again?”
“First think how we can get out of here.” Said Zee.
“That’s a good question, because it seems quite impossible to untie these ropes.” Said Xara.
Meanwhile I had somehow untied the ropes and I had a feeling that someone helped me.
I said, “I have freed myself somehow.”
But when I got up to free the others I saw that they were also freed by some ‘supernatural powers’.
Later we discovered that the spirits helped us. They also told us, “They are heading towards the Planet Wandla.”
“Planet Wandla!” Exclaimed Zee.
“But that planet is now owned by the richest man of the universe.” Said Xara.
“Maybe he is buying these special priceless things.” I suggested.
“According to the last case file of Dad they have stolen all the precious, ancient and powerful armours and weapons.”
“Maybe they are planning to unleash a war.”
“So where are we going?” I asked.
“First back to home as dad has not answered us yet and I am a bit tensed about his condition.”
We did not know that a bad news was waiting for us. When we reached back to home we found Dad was murdered by someone.
“I will kill them all who have murdered my Dad.” Said Xara.
I knew they two were not in that condition so that they can carry on following the gang. But I had enough information. I knew where the Planet Wandla is located, I knew to drive the space-car, and as well I wanted to do something for Xara.
I did never expect that I will easily find them in the large Planet Wandla. The planet was owned by P.S. whose boy was Xara’s boyfriend. That was too a point for which I did not want to ask Xara to take part in this mission.
However, finally I was able to follow them till P. S’s cottage. Though I am saying it a cottage but it was a ten storied building guarded by armed bouncers. I was thinking a way to get inside so that I can somehow recode their activities to inform UPA (Universal Police Association) with evidence.
Suddenly before I could move someone jumped on me and grabbed me. And everything fades out. When I got my sense back I found myself inside a glass cage. It was Xara’s brother and Xara’s formal boyfriend P. S. Junior.
Xara’s brother Antonio said, “now you will understand what is the result of following us.”
“And you know whoever tries to stop our business we just vanish them, I mean kill them.” Said Junior.
“I tried to give you a chance. But I think the time has come. You must die.”
I somehow felt that I will have my turn to take revenge. And I always believe that truth will win at the end of the day.
They kept me starved. Hungry, I could not keep me awake. I just slept. When I wake up everything was dark all around and someone was minutely cutting the glass wall. Xara and Zee.
“Are you crazy? Are you mad? Are you out of your mind? Why did you do so?” said Xara in an angry manner. And then she slapped me. I could see her love for me in the tears coming off her cheeks.
“I’m sorry. I just thought that….”
She did not let me to say anything. She put her finger on my lips and said, “I have already lost my dad, I can’t afford to lose you. You don’t know, but I really need you, because…”
She was interrupted by the claps of Junior.
“Well, well, well! who has come to join the party?”
“Junior! I knew that you were evil but I did not know that you have become so ruthless murderer. Why did you kill my dad?”
“Because he knew a lot about us. We warned him. But he sent you three to stop our work. So we killed him. But now it’s your turn Xara.”
“Do you still think that the game is still in your hands? Then see through the window. UPP’s (universal peace protectors) armed force have found enough reason to raid your planet. Actually your team forgot about the camera hidden inside Eric’s glasses. Surrender yourself.”
“Never!” exclaimed junior and took the ‘Sacred Blades’ out and pulled me near him. Touching the blade to my throat he said, “if you try to do anything against me then I will just kill him. Understand? Now tell UPP to move away and let me go.”
Xara was hesitating. I nodded my head to say her not to listen to Junior.
Then suddenly Junior fell down. And zee with a huge hammer said, “hope you did not forget me?”
When the UPP moved away with the gang captured I asked Xara, “but how did you enter in this highly secured building.”
“All the credit goes to Zee who fitted the camera inside your spectacle frame. The streamed videos were showed to UPP who came to investigate about my dad’s death. And they found enough reason to raid this planet. Fifty armed mane came inside with me and they handled all the guards here. But there is a bad news as well…”
“What?”
“Antonio has fled away. But, anyway, thank you for helping me.”
“What did I do?”
“You lent us your spectacles. Ha, ha.”
We were walking through the desert of Wandla. Zee said to Xara, “maybe you should say him sorry for slapping him.”
“That did not hurt,” I said though it was still paining.
Xara said, “I had not wished to slap you but you acted so crazy that…. Actually I wanted to ask you something….”
After I gave her my concern she said, “Now I have no friends. Neither my dad is here to protect me. Will you please let us two to stay with you in the Earth?”
“Obviously, it will be my great pleasure to share my house with you two.”
“Thank you Eric.” Said Xara.
Zee said “I knew you will never deny.”
And then Xara gave me a hug.
You might be thinking this is the end. But this was only the beginning. But there was lot more pains and joys, funs and falls waiting for us.
