Inside WritOn

Where WritOn Goes From Here

The roadmap toward open syndication, personal libraries, and permanent bodies of work.

Building an independent writing platform in 2026 is an exercise in stubborn conviction. The prevailing tech consensus says that text is dying, that attention spans cannot survive past ten seconds, and that generative engines will replace the need for human storytelling.

We reject every part of that consensus.

The Long Horizon

As we look toward the next phase of WritOn's development, our priorities are simple:

  1. Defending the 25 Founding Writers: We are personally onboarding our initial cohort of poets, essayists, and short-story writers in English, Hindi, Marathi, and Bengali. Their work will define the permanent tone of the library.
  2. Open Syndication Standards: Every public story on WritOn is syndicated through canonical RSS feeds (writon.cc/feed.xml), sitemaps, and open web standards. We do not trap your words behind walled gardens or proprietary reader apps.
  3. Deepening the Reading Deck: Refining the physical responsiveness of our Android and web reading decks so that reading on a glass screen feels as close as possible to the quiet heft of a printed volume.

WritOn is built for the long haul. Thank you for reading with us.
